The South Amboy Housing Authority is opening the waiting list for the Public Housing Program on 01/25/23 at 9:00AM until 3:00PM only for the first 100 applicants who are eligible for the adopted resident and working family preference who are in need of a two- or three-bedroom unit (only). This specifically means that the head of household or spouse must be a resident as defined in the Housing Authority’s Administrative Plan, which states that proof of residency is “a family who lives, works or who has been hired to work in the jurisdiction of the PHA”. The PHA’s jurisdiction is the City of South Amboy. Or can prove that they are employed, and can show proof of a minimum of twenty hours a week for the family member claiming the preference.
